DPI Studios will be at both the Saskatoon and Edmonton Expos this September. We will be debuting two new images at the shows, a new landscape by Jaysin and a new Steampunk Girl by Embrio and Jaysin. Edmonton fans take note that the location of our booth and artist alley has changed from previous years.
DPI Studios has a gallery feature in the February (#267) issue of Heavy Metal Magazine! As teenagers sitting in their basement watching a bootleg VHS copy of the animated Heavy Metal movie; Embrio and Jaysin would have never imagined they would one day have their artwork featured in the iconic magazine.
Hey there, just a quick note to say congratulations to our CCEE 2013 Banner Contest Winner, Emily Vader of Calgary. Thanks to Emily and everyone else who signed up to our newsletter at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo.
Many many thanks once again to all our fans at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo for coming out and supporting us. Sorry for the lack of updates before the show, we were just too busy getting things ready. We're still recovering but we'll be updating the site with our new pictures and information about our banner draw soon.
Things have been quiet around here during the winter months (as usual), but spring is right around the corner and with it so comes con season. For the third year in a row we will be starting the season at the Emerald City Comic-Con in lovely Seattle. The floor plan for this year's show has changed drastically so don't look for us in the usual spot. We are in booth #610 near the Photo Op and Signing areas. See you there.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to and shared our indiegogo campaign for DPI Studios Vol. 2. Unfortunately we didn't make our funding goal. Obviously this is a little disappointing, but we really do look at it as a great learning experience. We will be far better prepared for our next attempt.
The countdown has begun. DPI Studios has started a crowd funding campaign on indiegogo.com. The project we are trying to fund is the printing of our second artbook, DPI Studios Vol. 2. We have until November 22 to raise the $8000 we'll need to pay for the printing of the book as well as the shipping and production of all of the various reward perks we are offering to contributors.
